Strange duck
By the river, near a hedgerow
Lived one very, very strange duck.
But instead of living like ducks
She prefered journeys and walks.
So once she went to hairdresser,
Asking for some cheese for dessert.
Nearby there was a pharmacy
“Five decos of milk” – she’s asking.
From there she went to the washer
To buy some stamps, as she told her.
Other ducks freeted over her:
“Let goose kick this duck, she’s so strange!”
Strange duck was laying hard-boiled eggs
Wearing a big bow on her head,
Taking easy what others think
‘doing her hair with a toothpick.
Once she bought a big poppy-head
To write letter with poppy sead
And eating an old radio tape
“That’s noodles, don’t worry” she said.
And when she swallowed two zloties
“I’ll pay it back” said, “don’t bother”
Other ducks were worried about
What will happen to such a strange duck?
Finally, they found a good dealer
“We’ll have a delicious dinner”
The chef very diligently
Baked her in oven, properly.
But, serving dinner he got scared,
Cause duck changed into the wild hare
Moreover, the hare in beetroots.
Yes, that was a very strange duck.
