OglaC Contest EntryAnd it burns more than the words,by
That you whispered in my ear,
When we lay together under the still silver moon;
On the dawning of the night and the beginning of the day.
And it hurts more than words can say,
Because this pain contains and knows no sound,
And it claws at my throat and head as I look at you,
And you ignore me and act like it doesnt matter.
And it creeps its way into my heart,
As I sit and watch you play with my child,
Showing him the love and care you never show me,
And then you stalk past me with no word of comfort.
And I know you can hear me,
And I know you can see me,
And I know that you can see my pain as it eats me from the inside out,
And I know that you couldnt care less.
And still you ignore,
As I lay at your feet,
The carpet now stained a dull red,
And my hands clutching your trousers as my sins screams.
And still it burns at my heart,
And rips at my mind,
And the pain numbs my very being, the pain,
Of tortured silence.
